Instant Suji [Semolina] Dhokla


Instant Suji [Semolina] Dhokla


Ingredients:

Suji 1 cup
Ajwain [Carom seeds] pinch
oil 1 tbsp
Ginger  1 inch piece or paste
Green chillies 6-7 or paste  
Salt to taste
Turmeric [haldi] pinch
Yogurt 1 cup
Water quarter cup
Eno fruit salt 2 sachet


For Tempering [tadka]

1/2 tsp mustard seeds [rai]
1/2 tsp cumin seeds [white zeera]
4-5 curry leaves
2-3 green chillies - slit
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp Coriander
1 tsp desiccated coconut

Method:

  1. Take suji in mixing bowl, add ajwain and oil in it. 
  2. Mix them well till crumbly texture.
  3. In blender pour yogurt,water ginger and chillies, blend them well.
  4. Incorporate this mixture with suji mix.
  5. Add salt and turmeric into the mixture and beat until smooth. Make sure that there are no lumps.
  6. Let it set for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Add water in steamer and heat it over medium high flame.
  8. Grease its tray [thali] with 1/2 tsp oil.
  9. Add the Eno fruit salt in half batter, stir gently and pour immediately into the greased tray and place it in the steamer.[tray must be covered with lid]
  10. Steam it for 7-8 minutes. [ repeat the same process for another half batter for second tray/batch]
  11. Take out tray from steamer.
  12. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a small pan for tempering. Add mustard seeds when they begin to crackle, add cumin seeds, green chilli and curry leaves and saute for few seconds and turn off the flame.
  13. Pour prepared tempering over suji dhoklas and garnish them with chopped coriander leaves and coconut.
  14. Cut the dhoklas into desire size piece and enjoy it with its chutney.

Classic Chocolate Chips Cookies

CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Ingredients:


1.     butter  half cup
2.    white sugar  half cup [make it powdered]
3.    brown sugar  half cup
4.    egg 1
5.    vanilla essence  half tsp
6.    flour [maida] 1 and 1/4 cups
7.    corn flour  1 tbsp
8.    baking powder half tsp
9.    chocolate chips half cup or as you like 
10. chocolate chunks [Cadbury dairy milk] half cup
Method:
1.     Take a large bowl add butter and sugar [both white and brown] mix them well till creamy consistency.[Use rubber spatula for mixing perfectly]
2.    Add egg and vanilla essence, give it good mix.
3.    Sieve flour,corn flour and baking powder, add it to egg mixture and mix it well [it will become soft and sticky dough]
4.    Add Chocolate chips and chunks, fold them properly in mixture.
5.    Keep this mixture in fridge for 20 minutes.
6.    Preheat toaster oven on 190 degrees.
7.    Spread butter paper or cookie  sheet in baking tray.[no need to grease]
8.    Take out dough from fridge and take a scoop of dough with spoon make ball and press it to flat in shape.
9.    Keep them in lined tray with 2 inch distance.
10. Bake them on 190 degrees for 15 minutes or till become light brown.
11.  Now enjoy easy home made yummy recipe and gather beautiful compliments from your love ones. 


Easy quick and moist Marble Cake.

DELICIOUS MARBLE CAKE

Ingredients:
Eggs  2
Sugar 1 cup [make it powdered]
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Cooking oil  3/4 cup
Flour [maida] 1 cup
Baking powder 2 tsp
Milk 1 tsp
Coco powder 2 tbsp


Method:
1.     Preheat toaster oven to 180 degrees C.
2.    In a larger mixing bowl, use an electric beater or whisk to whip the eggs for a few minutes till the eggs turns light yellow and creamy in texture.
3.    Add sugar and vanilla essence in it and give it good mix.
4.    Pour into cooking oil gradually while beating the mixture till smooth consistency. 
5.    Sieve flour and baking powder, fold it to mixture properly.[it should be lump free].
6.    Grease and lined baking dish with butter paper.
7.    Take out 2 tbsp of mixture in another bowl and stir 2 tbsp of Coco powder and milk in it, mix well. 
8.    Pour the mixture into baking dish then add coco powder mixture in center.
9.    Move your spatula to make marble design of in it. Like shown  in picture below.
   10. Bake it in preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Note: Insert tooth pick in cake when it comes out clean, it means cake is ready. Don't over cook it, It will become dry.

Ingredients:

boneless chicken or hunter beef  half kg
Finely chopped onion       2 medium
chopped tomatoes  4 medium
ginger paste  1 tbsp
garlic paste   1 tbsp
red chili powder 2 tbsp  cook it
salt to taste
oil 3 tbsp

For assembling:

buns
butter
hanifia sauce or mayonnaise
cheese slices
tomatoes sliced
cucumber sliced 

Method:

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in sauce pan.
  2. Add onion and fry till smell goes and become light pinkish in color. 
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and stir for few seconds.
  4. Add chicken or beef and cook it on high flame, when chicken or beef change its color turn the flame on medium heat.[ if using beef then let it done completely]
  5. Now add tomatoes,red chilli powder and salt. Fry it for few seconds. 
  6. Let it cook till chicken gets tender and soft. 
  7. Add remaining 2 tbsp oil in it and fry it for one minute.
  8. Turn the stove off and let it cool.
  9. Shred the chicken or beef with fork within the mixture and its ready to use.

Assembling:

  1. Spread  butter on bun and toast it on non stick pan from inside only.
  2. Now spread hanifia's sauce generously [only karachi people can get the sauce from their shops rest can use mayo] or mayonnaise on bun's both sides.
  3. Add chicken or beef mixture on bun, put cheese slice, tomato slice and cucumber slice on it, Cover it with other half of bun.
  4. Toast it once again on low flame till cheese melts.
  5. Ready to enjoy.
